Hi guys,
I have somethings that I want to write about the book that doesn't relate to the topic on Owen's blog, so I decided to blog here so I don't change the topic that Owen wants to talk about.
I think that Heidi is the type of girl that is interested in stuff, asks lots of questions and is really curious. These character traits might have led to becoming really curious about hilltop and that also made her make the decision to actually take the train all the way out to New York to find out more about hilltop.
I was curious about why the author named the title of the book after the mama. I think that we will find out more later and might even find out why. One of my guesses, is that since Heidi is going on this quest to hilltop to find out more about mama's past, mama has a big role in the story.
When mama screamed when they were about to go on the bus I thought that maybe something really bad happened to her on a bus along time ago. Something bad enough that made her remember it even when mama can't remember very much. I would really like to know what happened.
I was wondering that since mama was having her headaches more of now (almost daily) it might be because she if forced to remember a lot about her past because Heidi is bringing up the topic more and more. Plus she wants answers now and not as badly as she did before.
I am going to conclude this post with some questions that I have.
Why don't they pay any bills?
What does "soof" mean?
Why is Hilltop being so secretive?
What is a slot machine?
How does she get so much money from a slot machine?

I think that Heidi is just creepily lucky... i dont konw why though. Also, i agree. What the heck is soof!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI think that since she was so unlucky with her mama, it is Fate's way of telling her "Hey! sorry about your mama so here is a never failing lucky streak!"
ReplyDeleteI feelthat if she had a normal life, she wouldn't beso lucky. " Getting the money was the easy part. I won it playing a slot machine in the downtown reno bus station." I think that she doesnt really make that much of a big deal over it and she kind of isnt really aware of the power she has. I really think that thelucky streak will bea big part inthe end and maybe it will help her along the way. either way, its like she has something unlucky, and something lucky.
on another note i think that all thelittledetails of the story will end up smooshing together and making total sense.
Hi Sarah I might have an anwser for you it's about one of your questions''Why doesn't she pay bills I have 2 anwsers forthat 1 maybe her father knows where they live but doesn't visit them. My second anwser is maybe it's her luckey streak. So there I hope that these are ok and reasonale anwsers. Bye
