Page 100-140

I was sad for Juli when she heard that Bryce said that she had a messy yard but I think that it also helped her become distracted with the things her family was going through(made her have something to do not just sitting around and sulking.) It also helped her become friends with Bryce's Grandpa, which I think helped her because he let her get all her feelings out.

I think that Juli's parents made the wrong decision because I think that she deserved to know earlier about her uncle and how that was effecting her family. I think that she was old enough and if they told her earlier she might have taken it better.
One last thing, I think that it is interesting that how some retarted
people say things that sound like real words and others don't.
(Example)

David:"Fwank eoow!"="thank you!"

Mabel:"Gwa-aaal,"=I have no idea what she said.

What do you think?

Thanks for reading!

  1. Yeah...

Every point I look at it, everything would go wrong in the end... If it ends up positively affecting their relationship, ... ... ... I can't think of it... but the author might suprise us? ... ...

  3. Hi All,

Sarah some great points again. I think it is hard for parents to decide when to tell their children certain things. There is an age when children will not understand things and then there is age when the will. Juli seems like a pretty intelligent girl and I think you are right that her knowing maybe helped her understand things in her family better. This would be helpful for tell friends.

I have to say that I thought Gwalll was maybe either Girl or Go away!

Just a note that we generally do not use the title retarded (this is an American novel) and this word is still in use in the USA. In Canada we would say mentally delayed.
