Just like we did in class for our other novels. Write below who you would want to have a friend in the book with and why.
If I were to choose a person in the book to be friends with I would pick Juli because I think that she would be a good friend. She would listen to me if I have a problem. I know this because of the time she spends with her dad, shows to me that she is a very kind person and can be serious at times. But at other times she can be kind of fun and playful. A person like that would be really fun to play with. I would have loved to climb that tree with her because it sounds so cool. Any way she just sounds like she would be a really cool friend. What do you think about being friends with Juli?

I actually wouldn't want to be friends with Juli because she seems intimidating, as I mentioned in Simonida's blog. I believe she's a risk taker, because in Juli's mom's opinion, on pg. 34, it was "the biggest tree she'd ever seen." If this (most likely) experienced adult thinks it's big, then IT'S BIG, but Juli still climbed it. I would want a friend that was sort-of a "friend at my level", which in my world means to have somewhat a similar conscience... like Bryce!

You see, all of them are "bullying" Bryce in some way; It might not even be intentional, but if that's the case (like Juli), then they don't know that they are picking on Bryce, which I think is worse than knowing!
So, I would like Bryce as a friend to help "annihilate" the obstacles for him (not like he can do so himself), so that he could be nice to everyone...
So yeah.
(I would be Mike's friend if he wasn't so... creepy. I mean, a boa constrictor as a pet who eats eggs whole and digests them by flexing, only to hear the crunching noises of the raw egg? I think you know what I mean..)
(I don't want to be Lynetta's friend because she seems stubborn, ie. helping Juli find Bryce in the first few pages, for her own entertaining benefit and their embarrassment? Yeah.)
I learned a word today; Vexation!

That is a cool word Stephen. I think that is also a valid opinion. I hadn't thought of Bryce feeling like that, but that is a different perspective than Juli's. That is a really cool perspective/opinion.-Sarah W
