Hey guys,
I would like you opinion on what I should have the background of my blog as.
It would have to represent the theme of the book or what the book is about.
Eggs=They show what happened between Juli and Bryce how Juli kind of opened her eyes to see what Bryce really was not just on the outside but in the inside as well.
Chicks=They represent the cover of the book and I think that one of the main ideas of the book is about the chicks and they eggs.
Jelly Beans=I know this might seem like a weird one but it could represent how in the book the main characters have lots of conflicting feeling or emotions. (mostly Juli) Jelly Beans would represent that because there are so many of them and you just don't know which one to choose that will be right/right flavour.
If you guys could help me out on my decision that would be awesome. I will put up a poll but if you could put up your comments as well that would be awesome.

To be perfectly honest, completely honest, I would chose jelly beans, MAINLY because it's random, which I like.

As you said, jelly beans could represent different emotions, problems, etc., but because of these emotions, it could show that the book is progressing at a random pace (which I think is quite true). For example, Juli SPARKS and love love love loves him...
LOVE for the next 50 pages or so...
BAM. Juli was shot with a gun with guilty all over the bullet, which was an "electricity" bullet oddly, and you see it was made from parts of the new iPhone 4...
Above translates:
Juli saw Bryce dump her eggs, eggs with innocence all over the shell which was really the odor, oddly, and you see it with fingerprints from BRYCE!
Well, you get it. It's quite random, even you mention it, which says you even thought about it, 3/5ths of the group would probably pick it (the guys >.>), and right now I'm the only voter!

ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting discussion? The Jellybeans certainly are powerful once you think about it. The symbolism of the white egg also is very powerful although maybe to literal. I am really glad you have given it significant thought. Well done!

I agree with you Mr. Bowen about the white egg taking the meaning we want it to have and making it a different meaning. I am going to put up the jelly beans because of the votes so far but if it switchs that I will switch the back ground. I agree that the jelly beans at first might seem weird but once you think about it, it is really powerful. The chicks might be copying the book to much and it is nice to come up with our own ideas.-Sarah W

ReplyDelete2. You have a good prediction that the brothers could get involved more, but I don't think so, because Juli knows them quite a lot, and she already dealt with them for the past six years, so she could probably efficiently solve the problem if there is one.
I agree with Stephen about the brothers but for beans being pink I think that they can be.

ReplyDeleteI would chose Mike because in my opinion he seems like a very nice person and like I said he will get involved in the book more and I think he will do something nice for ether Juli or Brce to get them into a friendship.

Interesting point of view. I would think that Mike is mean because he tried to scare Bryce with the snake eating the egg thing but that is just my opinion.-Sarh W

Maybe Sarah doesn't like him because he has this intimidating aura around him, with the rock & roll, and the boa constrictor.
